A great way to try and compare five of the most popular types of TIG welding tungsten electrodes. Contains two each of Pink, Green, Grey, Blue and Red.
EWG Pink Multi-Mix has been proven to dramatically increase weld quality and service life by offering unsurpassed stability and consistency in every weld. It is non-thoriated, non-radioactive, and non-carcinogenic. It is a proprietary product containing multiple additives of rare earth oxides. Each additive complements others to enhance the welding performance. Being non-radioactive, it is a popular replacement to thoriated tungsten. Multi-Mix tungsten electrodes can be used at all current ranges on both DC and AC TIG.
PURE (GREEN) EWP/WP is recommended for use with Alternating Current (A/C) in low to medium amperage applications using transformer based constant current power sources only on non-critical welds. A more econmical option, pure tungsten is suitable for aluminum alloys and magnesium alloys.
2% Ceriated (Grey) EWCe-2/WC20 is recommended for use in Alternating Current (A/C) or Direct Current (D/C) applications using inverter or transformer based constant current power sources. Good for low-alloyed steels, non corroding steels, aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys, titanium alloys, nickel alloys, copper alloys

Suitable for both Alternating Current (A/C) or Direct Current (D/C) using inverter or transformer based constant current power sources. It is good for low-alloyed steels, non corroding steels, aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys, titanium alloys, nickel alloys, copper alloys and is typically our recommendation if you are purchasing your first package of tungsten electrodes.
2% THORIATED (RED) EWTH-2/WT20 is recommended for use with Direct Current (D/C) applications using transformer based constant current power sources on non corroding steels, titanium alloys, nickel alloys and copper alloys.
